pass me a big honkin’ steak

a dispatch from the bullhorns of far-left lunacy: peta has offered officials of the town of hamburg, new york $15,000 to change its name to veggieburg. if i were the mayor of such a town, i would respond by banning any peta members from my town for life and declaring that day “mayor’s barbeque day”.

seriously, how can this group of radicals expect to ever be taken seriously with stunts like this? also, peta released an ad that compared eating meat to the holocaust, in which hitler’s nazis killed six million jews. isn’t this over the top? they have only managed to turn reasonable people off to their message, which might in part be legitimate. they are toeing the line of ultra-radical (and even terrorist) groups like the earth liberation front and the people who bomb abortion clinics.
