space shuttle
my tv tells me that the space shuttle columbia has fallen apart and burned up over texas, and the crew is almost certainly lost. security was locked down before take-off, and the shuttle could not possibly have been shot down at 200,000 feet, so terrorism is not an issue. i remember when the challenger burned up with that grade school teacher on board - it was this same time of year in 1986.
