Anyone out there watching a particular piece of cultural Kabuki theater we like to call the Oscars?
I mean, come on. We all know who’s going to win, and we all know why they are going to win.
I skipped it. I never watch any of these ridiculous award shows, nor do I follow entertainment news for reasons other than satisfying my more cruel moments of schadenfreude. Nothing in Hollywood could possibly be more irrelevant to my life.

In my history class, my professor (the Professional one, not Witch Hazel) gave us a list of the nominees to guess at a few weeks ago, awarding 2 new history books to the winner. One guy got 18-of-however-many.
Then he noted that one person in the class only managed to get 2 questions correct, and I remarked half-joking that it was probably me.
“No, Mr. Hoyt, but you got the second-fewest right with 4.”
I’ve never been so proud in my whole life.

It would have been impossible not to get one (An Inconvenient Truth). Otherwise, not bad.
