capital-journal looking for bloggers?

Topeka Capital-Journal editor Jen Clark would like you to know that the paper is looking for “bloggers”.

Here are a few specific types of blogs we’re hoping to add to the site:

Local Sports: We know your teams don’t get as much recognition as they deserve. On the CJBlogs, you can show your passion for local sports — be it T-ball, bowling, BMX racing, fishing, kick ball … well, whatever!

Gardening: It’s a hot topic in Topeka and if you’re one of the dedicated enthusiasts of home horticulture, let us know.

Neighborhoods: Want to write about the issues of your part of the city? We’d like to hear from you. We’ll be adding a special feature to the site soon highlighting the communities within the Capital CIty.

High schools: Are you a budding school journalist? We’d like you to join us in coverage of the region’s schools, athletics, social events and educational issues.

Hopefully the “bloggers” are better than the TCJ’s writers. (Which shouldn’t be that hard.)
