natural selections LI: twelve-pack of natty

Since I am currently out of a job and staying with my friend, Natty is all I get. Maybe these are some of my future career options:

» I could sell out pro-freedom dissidents to the Chinese government.

» I could brazenly pimp myself for an Emmy while people around me swim through sewage for a drink of water.

» I could take a sabbatical on safari, on the hunt for the ever-elusive easy target.

» I could pick up the old media’s slack (although it looks like the Jawas did that already).

» I could make your disaster preparations for you.

» If I was this guy, I’d already have a job.

There are so many more good posts out there that I felt compelled to make this Natty a twelve-pack. (Sort of reminds me of freshman year at K-State, where a twelve-pack of Natty was six dollars.)

» Erin O’Connor asks the question: “Can architecture be racist, sexist, and classist?” I’ve already shown you that mathematics can be, so why not?

» Here’s a question that really does need to be considered: When we’ve seen to the safety and well-being of the hurricane victims, what are we going to do with all the junk left behind in a city of half a million people?

» A Huffer gets a good evisceration. Put down the chateaubriand, Stephen Elliot, and slowly back away.

» Nice. Real fricking nice. Note: The connection with the Islamic crescent was the very first thing I thought of when I saw the original picture – before I read any commentary or saw the animation I’ve linked to here. The idea that the design was a “coincidence” is laughable. It’s an intentional slap in the face. UPDATE: And the people who designed it knew it, too.

» Picture the movie Billy Madison with Eric Scheie in the role of “Billy”, and CNN in the role of “Eric” during this scene: “I choose business ethics.”

» In honor of 09.11: Debunking the “squandered sympathy” myth. We never had it.
