There are massive anti-government protests all throughout Yemen, resulting in about twenty deaths and hundreds injured.

Jane of Armies of Liberation has done yeoman’s work in exposing the corruption and abuses of the Yemeni government, even on occasion sparring with Yemeni officials who bash her via the Internet. Start with the post I linked above and scroll away.

UPDATE [15:23]: The BBC has it (sort of). The Yemen Times presents a much more detailed report, with no mention of shots fired by protestors, whereas the BBC reports that there were “armed men [that] exchanged fire with police.”
