Patrick Quinn put down his $5 chai long enough to puke this out: NeoAmerican Pigs.
It’s the J-World’s “feature blog”.
UPDATE: I perused the contents of other Lawrence.com blogs, most of which were not as short-of-breath as Mr. Quinn appears to be. I’d have to say — noting the lack of any linking of off-site material whatsoever — that the Lawrence.com bloggers don’t know what a blog is or how to run one. (I mean, I’m no expert, but I’ve been doing this a while.) I suspect it’s mostly J-W reporters who can’t get their feelings out in their stories.

JD, its like our fathers used to say, “never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.” The extremes of either major political party are taken to be those truths which all associated with them seek and that is simply not the case. Howard Dean as the new leader of the DNC would be an arugement otherwise but really I would suggest that 90% of folks are pretty middle of the road. However, middle of the road doesn’t make news. As this guy demonstrates, you do not need facts just message, scarier the better, and people will follow. The thing that concerns me is the Bush and his minions out of office. Hopefully his views have not gone to the extreme of thinking of doing something really silly. Makes you kind of wonder, with as hateful as speech has been here lately, how busy the USSS is in checking on all of this.

It wasn’t so much that the criticism of the Bush administration was hyperventilatory (as it often is from those of his ilk) that caught my ire, it was his reference to Americans in general as “sniveling morons”.
