I figured the blogs I read usually would be going ballistic over this, and yet I have not seen anyone mention it: Norwegians place anti-Bush ad in Washington Post.

Note to Norwegians: Butt out. America became a success largely without your help. We’ll be just fine.

“Our main goal has been to create a debate in Norway,” said campaign spokesman Torgeir Knag Fylkesnes, asked if U.S. citizens might resent foreign interference in U.S. politics.

“We don’t think this will have an effect on the election. That’s not our goal,” he said when asked if the group hoped that voters would oust Bush next month and elect Democratic challenger John Kerry.

Then why bother? The campaign’s spokesman is full of crap. And I’m so glad that a country that can be bothered to run ads fretting about “democracy and freedom”, denouncing Amerika, the Real Terrorist®©, but cannot also be bothered to notice this.
